There was certainly no shortage of smiles or good cheer earlier this month as all of our 46 branches across the nation dressed up their locations with red, white and blue balloons and banners in celebration of Member Appreciation Week.

The weeklong festivities held Feb. 28-March 4 included snacks, giveaways, thank-you gifts for members and a $25 bonus for new members. Visitors also had the opportunity to sign up for a chance to win one of three $1,000 prizes.

The contest drew more than 11,300 submissions but the Credit Union had another surprise up its sleeve. Rather than stop at only three winners, we decided to round it up to a total of eight.

Of course, no one left empty-handed, especially the more than 1,000 new members who joined the Credit Union family that week. Our Skyview 5 branch even welcomed an entire flight attendant class as new members.

In addition providing welcome gifts, the Credit Union also acts as “adoptive parents” throughout their training program. We offer encouragement while providing much-need essentials – from something as simple as a sewing kit up to a personalized credit report analysis or even a new-hire personal loan. Credit Union representatives also provide graduation gifts and attend every graduation ceremony to cheer them on. It’s our way of saying how proud we are to welcome our new employees into the American Airlines family.
