Education Line of Credit
While attending a secondary school, college or trade school, an education line of credit helps you manage common expenses such as:
- program costs
- books, supplies and tools
Take advantage of this open-end, variable-rate loan for amounts up to $40,000.¹ Pay interest only on what you use, so you can focus on becoming an aircraft mechanic—not on borrowing more than you need.
Home Equity Line Of Credit (HELOC)
If you or your family owns a home, a HELOC can be a powerful way to help fund your training. Here are some advantages to using a HELOC:
- Access to funds as needed instead of in a lump sum
- Typically lower interest rates than an unsecured personal loan
- Flexible terms for a variety of budgets
Training costs can stretch over months or even years. A HELOC allows you to finance your training as you go.
Checking Account
Stay in control of your finances with easy, everyday access to your money. Open a checking account with:
- No minimum balance
- No monthly fees
- Free online banking on the go
Plus, you can use your debit card to access cash at more than 85,000 ATMs coast to coast.
Credit Card
Carrying a balance on high-interest credit cards? Transferring them to one of ours could help you save significantly.
- Move existing balances from higher-rate cards.
- Pay less interest over time.
- Simplify your monthly payments.
Every dollar saved on interest is a dollar that can go toward tools, exams, or living costs.

1 Minimum payment will never be less than $16.00 per month per $1,000.00 or any part thereof. Rate and actual credit limit is based on applicant’s creditworthiness and underwriting criteria. Ask the Credit Union for details. Unless otherwise noted, the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for variable rate loans will be based on the Prime Rate as published in the Wall Street Journal (Index) as of the day of the advance, plus a margin. Rate changes based on changes in the Index will take effect on the next business day after the Index change is published. The APR on existing balances for Education Line of Credit loan advances will change quarterly on the first day of January, April, July and October to reflect any change in the Index in effect on the last day of the previous quarter. See our Rate Schedule for more information.
